HISTORY

Tri Delta national women's fraternity has a long and proud history of raising funds for worthy causes that dates back almost 100 years.  College scholarships, building schools, supporting our troups during wartime and helping children's cancer charities have been hallmark in our legacy.

Tri Delta members raise money and donate time volunteering for several children's cancer charities.  Since 1974, Tri Delta collegiate and alumnae chapters have raised more than $14 million for children's cancer hospitals, research facilities and  cancer camps.  This is in addition to the thousands of dollars raised each year to award over $80,000 annually in scholarship money  to college women.

Tri Delta Chapter Philanthropy Projects in 2008/2009

*  We raised $350 for CHOP's oncology ward at the Sept 14th shopping event at The Van Cleve Collection in Paoli.  Our thanks to everyone at Van Cleve for a fabulous night

*  We raised $1,400 for CHOP's Trisomy 21 Center at the Oct 5th BUDDY WALK.  Way to go TEAM TRI DELTA

* We raised $375 for our local collegiate scholarship fund at our Founders Day raffle

* We donated four bags of toys to the Greater Philadelphia Children's Center Holiday Toy Drive

Current Projects

* Team Tri Delta is again raising money for Children's Hospital by participating in the Buddy Walk, Oct 4th at Villanova Univ stadium

* Our Chapter is awarding two $250 scholarships to collegiate Tri Delta's at the Univ of Pennsylvania and Villanova University

* We are conducting an ongoing new/gently used linens and clothing drive for Mercy House, a women's shelter in center city

* We have a year long campaign to rasie funds for St. Jude's Children's Hospital that includes letter writing, raffles and jewelry sales.
